Holiday Traveling Tips for a Merry and Bright Season

Are you hitting the road for the holidays? Here are some great holiday traveling tips if you’ll be traveling in your new or used RV from Vantastic Vans!

Decorate on a Smaller Scale

Don’t go without your Christmas decorations! Simply modify to smaller versions, such as some of the following:

  • A string of LED Christmas lights to attach to your awning so it’s merry and bright outside!
  • An Advent wreath with small candles, a bowl of spicy potpourri in the kitchen, or a pretty Christmas throw blanket and pillows in the living room.
  • A tabletop tree that can either make your dinette festive or be perfect sitting at the fireplace. Better yet, if you opt for a real tree, you can plant it after the season is over!

Keep Your Favorite Traditions

If you love certain traditions, take them with you in an RV-friendly way that conserves space! Load your favorite read-alouds onto your Kindle or tablet, and make sure you either have DVDs of your favorite Christmas movies or can stream them from your preferred streaming channel.

Holiday Traveling

Do you love baking and decorating cookies? Bake them ahead of time and keep your cookie decorating stash – frosting, sprinkles, etc. – in your new or used RV’s kitchen pantry!

Plan to be Flexible

If anything 2020 has taught us to hold our plans pretty loosely. You will have a more enjoyable road trip over the holidays if you stay flexible and keep a backup plan in mind in the event of cancellations or other restrictions.
